What do you want to bet those lovely tomato pots on the lovely all-pot terrace came out of a greenhouse, just made to order? You can do that these days, if you've got enough of the green stuff.
My tomatoes are only just starting to flower, and they're still quite short.

Grow's NOT actually going away for good, just until next March! One of the idiosyncracies of the green industry is that it's tied to a seasonal boom, and printed pages are tied to print ads ... the math on that's pretty easy.
In other updates, the huge tomatoes belong to Stan and Mary, and nope, they didn't get 'em that big. They got them in April in smaller pots, and kept bringing them in at night. More deets and pix of their 'maters in an upcoming post.
